THE OAHU CIVIC ORCHESTRA
The Oahu Civic Orchestra (OCO) is a volunteer, community orchestra which provides the opportunity for musicians to perform classical, pop, and contemporary music. OCO was originally founded in 1971 as the Windward Symphony and incorporated as a Hawaii nonprofit corporation in 1972. The name of the orchestra was later changed to the Oahu Civic Orchestra. OCO now includes musicians who live all over Oahu.
The mission of the OCO is to enrich the quality of life and culture on Oahu by providing a nurturing and supportive environment for all musicians to challenge, develop and enjoy their musical skills by regularly attending rehearsals and participating in performances of music in the community.
